The Obama campaign announced the two former presidential rivals will campaign with each other next week, a step toward unifying a fractured Democratic Party after a bruising primary fight.

Hillary has no shame. She stayed with Bill, tells me something. Her choice of men and life !!!!!!! Why would we want her in the White House when her taste sucks, think of our nation then.

I agree with delola. Hillary, run on the independent ticket and see if you get the vote out-right!

If Obama chooses Hillary for his running mate, he's probably headed for a divorce. I'm voting for McCain, another four years of Bush, plain and simple. No two queen bee's in the same hive (white house.) One of them has to die and it won't be Michelle. As Michelle already told Hillary, "you can't run your own house, how can you run the white house. " end of story.
Hillary has humilitated Obama's intelligence, underestimated his abilities, and she, a dame, throught she could beat the guy for the presidency? With her arrogence , ignorence, and the bunch of lies, (dogging bullets overseas, ) and not acknowledging him for his nomination, but introduced herself as president was childish and insane! and then threatened him with her 18 million votes if he doesn't kiss her ass, and tried to arouse the south in a riot! She's not that smart because she was kicked to the curb. The scheming broad didn't know he was going to be the star he is when he went overseas. Now she 's bringing her simple behind up front to be campaigning with a winner, as if she's doing him any favor. Thank God she did not win or she would have us in a nuclear war within a week! SORRY NO EMOTIONAL, UNSTABLE BROADS, WITCH OF THE MONTH DAMES RUNNING THE WHITE HOUSE!
I can't believe it. I am no longer a member of the Democratic party from now on. I will NEVER vote for Obama, with no experience, no voting record, assaciates with known felons and terrorists and has an America-hating wife. Forget the party. I'm going with experience. McCain.

OK, no problem..go ahead and cast your vote for a man who has no idea about women issues. His record looks a little like this:McCain Opposed Equal Pay Bill for Women, Said They 'Need Education and Training' Instead. McCain Voted to Gut the Family and Medical Leave Act. McCain opposed spending $100 million to prevent unintended and teen pregnancies. McCain opposed legislation requiring that abstinence-only programs be medically accurate and scientifically based.
McCain opposed Title X, the nation's family planning program.
McCain opposed requiring insurance coverage of prescription birth control.
McCain opposes comprehensive sex education.
McCain unsure where he stands on government funding for contraception.
McCain opposed repealing the "global gag rule."
McCain supports overturning Roe v. Wade.
That's the short list, I could go on or even to another subject with your experience voting record of a Senator McCain, who by the way has his own back yard to clean up with felons and terrorists he associates with. That's what other countries are calling George Bush and Dick Chaney, McCain's fave two...
Now McCain is distancing himself from the two who I believe when the final chapter is written, will be found guilt of War Crimes in the 1st degree along with all the other Presidents men.
As for the 9-11 investigation and how much this experienced government knew of the hijacked plane crashing into buildings??? That nut shall be cracked to, stay tuned!
The Hell with experience, I'm going with "Changing" the political landscape of Washington DC and taking our country back from political 'Pirates of Washington DC'!

Well, I guess the pork belly doesn't count when not voting on certain issue. I believe if they would leave the pork belly out on these issues, many of the issues would have be a yes vote for McCain. I wish they media would tell the entire truth about why candidates say no to certain issues. And no president can overturn Roe vs Wade or any other issue like that. Only the Supreme Court can and I don't believe any of them are retiring too soon. As for Obama, he is so unpatriotic, wants to negotiate with the enemy and so forth. Do we want THAT kind of change as Americans? Check out this true fact base video on Obama and then tell us if Obama should be elected as our next President of these United States of America. Talk is cheap when the only talk is said the word "Change". What kind of change may I ask?
I don't agree with everything about McCain or any other Presidential candidate for that matter. None of us agree on everything and some people get insulted because of this. Just face the facts, check out each candidate fully before making unintelligent remarks.

This election year should be named the year of the "pit bull." None of the contenders are worth even a vote. However, Obama is the worst choice anyone can make. He will make sure this country turns into "the hood" immediately, raise taxes infinitely, and cause the middle tax paying working class to be squeezed beyond their means.
He's no good for this country, he can't even show up for work as a Senator, do you think he's going to be their as a president?
We need a leader who can vulcanize the community, equalize the regulations, and promote growth, stop the fraudulent use of welfare and subsidies, and get our economy back on track, and if that means opening drilling and building refineries, and nuclear facilities, then do so, at least those out of work can move on and get back to the American way of life and retire without paying the ultimate price of TAXATION of our retirement funds.

ACTUALLY MCCAIN HAS MISSED 500% MORE SENATE VOTES THAT OBAMA. OBAMA HAS MISSED ABOUT 3 MORE THAN CLINTON.
AND WHY WOULD YOU USE THE TERMS HOOD IN REFERENCE TO OBAMA; A VERY CHARISMATIC GENTLEMAN. HE NOR HIS WIFE RESEMBLE THE HOOD IN ANY WAY.
MCCAIN DOES NOTHING FOR THE COMMUNITY, COUNTRY AND DEFINITELY WILL NOT PROMOTE GROWTH (EXCEPT FOR A FEW RICH ASSOCIATES).
I agree totally with this comment. We go drilling everywhere else and that's ok with the environmentalist as long as it's not on our coastlines. Drilling for oil has it's regulations and that helps to keep the environment safe. An old movie named Tulsa shows the reason why they put regulations on oil companies. So why not give it a go in remote places. There's a danger always when we drive, plant, eat, sleep, etc. We never know if we'll wake up. But if the regulations are in place and stick, we can do this and therefore not be so dependent upon other countries when we have our own resources. If we as farmers, oir refineries, milk refineries would just follow the regulations and not be so money hungry, we could be more self dependent as a nation and trade for us would definitely go up! So why not? Environmentalists can be chosen to help these companies stick to the regulations keeping everyone as safe as possible. Chlorine in the water is a cancer causing agent so we all have to buy spring water to drink. So if a person is poor, they have to drink the water and guess what? We don't get on this case. Why? So let's join together as Americans and do what we can for our country as JFK put it. (revised)I don't care for any of the candidates, but McCain is the better choice.

Hillary, Hillary...Democratic Party did not want you as a nominee. Have some self respect, please!!!

Well Scorp,we are screwed then cause McCain is worse then the others soooo,
I'm absolutely shocked at the blatant misuse of public funds here. This isn't just one party, but all federal politicians since the expansion of "soft" funds. If I were wealthy - as in Gates wealthy, I'd lead a national campaign to reform and fire every one of these pigs.
Hillary - what a joke - you should be ashamed of yourself. You lost my respect when you didn't have the spit to leave that sorry exprez during his last embarrassment. Obama, you just don't appear to understand the bigger picture here. Or, more shamefully, perhaps you do. And McCain - wow, what can I say? A great patriot yes, but a President?
I'm moving to France to live with the Baldwin that left.... oh that's right, he had no convictions either did he...
Those of you who are "democrats" that decide to vote republican simply because you don't like Obama ... do us a favor ... don't vote. If you chose NOT to support the party you claim to represent based upon whatever bias you have against Obama, next time around just say that you're an independent. Obama's and Clintons beliefs nearly mirror each other. You're not voting means that you weren't voting for their ideals, you were voting for a person. Despite my being an Obama supporter, if Clinton won instead of Obama, come November I'd be voting for Hillary because I support my PARTY. And we can't do 4 more years of Republican leadership. Just stay home. You'll be doing the rest of us a favor.

AMEN to Freddy-300505!!! I am tired of all these so-called Democrats who say they are going to vote for McCain just because they don't like Obama. How irresponsible can you possibly be as a voter? And, yes, you are right. They both have extremely similar platforms. If people would actually go and read their websites, they would see that. I was very torn about which of the two Democrats to vote for in the primary because their values and goals are SO very similar. How can you do a complete 180 and go vote for someone at the opposite end of the spectrum like McCain? Does that not make you a complete hypocrite? My guess is that if you feel that way, you are either uninformed or you are a racist and don't want to admit it. Grow up and join us in the 21st century! I say "Thank You" to Senator Clinton for being classy and smart enough to throw her support in favor of Obama. She's doing it for the sake of the party and for the future of our country. Best of luck to her and Senator Obama!! Oh, and for those of you wanting to cast "spite votes" for McCain.....please do the Democrats (and yourselves) a favor and just stay home!!
How stupid you are. We have every right to vote for whomever we choose. I see you are an Obama supporter - he doesn't like the United States either. However, those of us who do realize that ALL of us have the right to vote and to pick our candidate.
How about you do US a favor and not vote since you are so ignorant you think you have to vote for somebody just because the party handed him the election?

AMEN to Freddy-300505 and Meg-339791. Couldn't have said it better myself.
Hilliary is a sell out....she got screwed by her own party and the Obama people think she should suck up to him...what a joke! This whole rock star thing with Obama will die out soon then what are the dems going to do. All they will have is a sign that says change on it in huge letters and Obama's name in about 1/4" letters on it...LOL to funny!!!
Obama worshippers truly are a disgusting bunch of people. As far they are concerned, if you are not going to vote for Obama: the Media Messiah, then you should have no right to vote. Obama worshippers are traitors of democracy! To Freddy-300505, Meg-339791and Fellow American... please take your asses to hell! Democracy is far greater, than any one person, idiots!
That is not what was said, but obviously some of you have so much hate. Clinton did not get the nomination and no it was not stolen from her. It was a very close race and she lost.
Obama and Clinton vies for this country are very similar. What was stated was if you switch from Clinton to McCain because you do not like Obama, then you are not voting because of the issues. Even McCain couldn't deny that logic. And if you are not voting because of the issues, then what are you voting for? That is the question.
Freddy,...#8 Thanks, I thought this was going to turn into just another flog the dead horse
thread. More Hillary bashing. It's time to put aside the agitprop and realize that the Republicans only hope is, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Don't put it beyond them to over season this stew. Get the two camps taking pot shots at each other until some give up and vote for McCain or don't vote. Remember the other motto, "Divided we fail."
to jade-log - Our nation is already divided on many issues. So beware

Did I miss something?.....I don't think I owe you ...or the Democratic Party .... any favors.
I never agree with any candidate 100%....but I always vote for the best of the two chosen.
Irresponsible?
Not unless Obama "changed" the meaning of the word?
First he declines the public funding to allow himself to special interest money. Now the real special interests will get involved... WHAT A HYPOCRITE!!!

Okay - staying on the topic of the news, Im amazed at how pacified we all appear these days.
These leadership choices are a joke.
We accept political hacks; we accept taxation without representation; we accept mediocrity from our government. No wonder the futures of our children all hang by a thread - Look at the lack of leadership we provide them. All that and a new Lexus to impress ourselves.
I agree, known felons, American Haters, religious zealots, racists, and he wants to raise taxes, give more away than ever before to people who chose to be on welfare due to whatever reason, socialize medicine (OMG, we will really have a health care problem then, those who can afford will be afforded proper diagnosis, treatment, etc. the rest will just be sustained because no physician will touch you to fix or treat your problems because it's not worth it financially), he will ruin America.
I will not vote for OBAMA ever! He's utilizing cult brainwashing tactics to woo the crowds. I always wondered why so many supposed intelligent people go blind and deaf when brainwashed by those who lead their sheep to slaughter. Is America's college educated OBAMA groupies really that dimwitted and gullable? I have nothing to say regarding those who will only vote because of race or color too, as they are followers of a different kind.
I know America needs to finally show diversity in its ranks with American's of various ethnicities, color, sex, but really people, come on, this guy is scary. He has never run a business, has no concept of keeping people employed, no justification of keeping America safe from intrusion, he's an errant flower child without a specific cause. At least in the 60s there was rebellion with causation, ideas, fixes, movement, progress, but this is crazy.
At least Hillary would have been a much better choice, she knows how to get in the front door at the White House without kicking the door in, and probably could hold her own against the foreign administrations, who deem women as a species lower than animals, somewhat.
On top of this, his cantor regarding being a Christian, give me a break! Read his books and see how Christian he is, NOT!!!! It is all a farse and the majority of our young adults are being victims and led to the silos of hell just because Obama has a plan to socialize America. It didn't work in most of the Communist countries and it for sure won't work here. Marxism does have some ideologies that sound great, but in the long run of things they will not hold the value, as the people suffer, those under the wing of the administration become "yes" man and women and learn to stash their cash waiting until the time is right to make a break for the west, and the people suffer......
Get a grip America!!!! Wake up!!!!! Leave America for Americans, stop the madness.
- 2 votes
Scorpio,...Quite a sting you got there. "...an errant flower child..." no he's a very savvy politician.
"...being lead to the silos of hell..." missle or grain? "Marxism does have some ideologies that sound great,..." like the practice of early Christian communities that had no private property but shared communally. "...stop the madness." yes indeed it might at least consider moderation.
Oh DELOLA: Making a commitment and living with it, for better or worse, is a GOOD thing. I would rather have Bill in the White House than Rev. Wright.
I also have changed my party to IND cause my vote in the primary did not count(Florida). So I and eight members of my family have change our party and because we believe that Sen. Obama and his wife are racist and he is Muslim we will not stay home we will vote Republicain unless Hiiary runs as an Independant.

I've been voting since 1988, affliliated with both parties at one time or another. The American people should be insulted by the choices given by all parties involved. The country is in dire straights because of free trade crammed down our throats by both parties, how disgusting. The people need to stop listening to the media on their accounts of the way things are. I've been reading news from all spectrums. This includes advertising, starting around 1998, 0% interest rates??? Are you serious, that doesn't even make sence! That comes from companies that are in trouble that don't want to downsize, and from greedy stockholders that want more, more, more. You will never retire on a consumer only economy.
I was disappointed that Hillary didn't get the nomination, but also disappointed with Hillary for running a negative campaign and using fear tactics. If you have to cut your opponent down, it creates the perception that you don't have your own good ideas. She should have done a better job of sharing her vision instead of resorting to fear and attacks on her opponent. Perhaps she was mislead by her campaign staff, but then again, she is the one who should have been leading. I welcome this news that the Dems are coming together to take our country back. This administration and McCain represent the richest 1%. Of course there are those who will vote Republican no matter what, even against their own intersts (like those in the middle class who are loosing ground, or those who are trying to get there in the first place), but out of the other 99%, there are enough Americans who see that our country is going backwards and will vote for Obama. Bush's policies have obviously failed and we will continue to go backwards with McCain using the same policies.
- 1 vote
Are you kidding me? Obama is the one who ran the negative campaign. Did you not pay attention?
Also, he and his cronies continue to run a negative campaign - making disgusting and derogatory remarks about McCain's war record. It makes me sick.
The Obama camp has been the one using fear tactics. Such as if he doesn't get the nomination the blacks will riot, now, if McCain wins he will overturn Roe v Wade. Anybody with a brain knows that won't happen.
You are obviously so blinded by Obama that you have only listened to the biased news media and not paid attention to what is really going on.
- 2 votes
S. Heath-310056, I am calling you out as a liar. Show where Obama said if he was not elected the Blacks would riot. You have your own tactics and they are not about improving this country.
Obama carries himself as a man of class, no matter what you may think from your interpretations of statements.
You should hope to carry yourself with at least 1/4 of his class.
D311,...Please don't be so quick to judge the folks. Look at what they are doing to Michelle. It's the same ugly brush they painted Hillary with. If we can all resist the temptation to choose who is bad, who is good, mean, nice, Muslim, Christian, black, white, etc. These people are not always offering simple, honest thoughts without agendas. These competing categories do little but stir up emotions. We all need to find a time out corner and pull our thoughts together. This election, though we may not get the absolute ideal, we must come together and make a choice that our future depends on. Our system of government doesn't offer us a whole lot of choice. The last time the country was this screwed up, we had a civil war. The man elected was a self educated, tall and had some unusual ideas. He was described by his opponent as a monkey bastard. The most important idea was to surround himself with a team of rivals. He wanted all the viewpoints expressed. Not every decision was correct but it was the best he could do at the time. He set the stage for what's happening now.
Here Ye! Here Ye! at last someone who turned down the Kool-Aid. as for the rest of this chat line and America and the Media, you have all DIED. Everybody parroted Obama and Hillery's views were the same. THEY WERE NOT THE SAME, HILLARY PARROTED EVERYTHING OBAMA SAID! She had no thoughts of her own. When she did come up with something, it almost started another Civil War talking to WHITE FOLKS and their jobs! Just like the priest said. "DAM! Where did you come from. I'M WHITE!" She prejudiced the good WHITE FOLKS against Obama, NOW THE MEDIA AND EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT WHITE WOMEN. TO HELL WITH WHITE WOMEN! Hillary turned this campaign into a I have 18M white folks who will not vote for YOU Black man on his nomination night! That showed her ignorence and racists views because she would chock before she would respect Black people, and had the gall to have them announce her as the next president of the United States. How racists and sick is that? and stirred the people up lying the country was taking her presidencey away from her, causing more division knowing good and well she lost. She lied when she said we will stand behind the person who wins ? she has not acknowledged him to this day. congress kicked her ass into submission! "A Black man beating me?" She couldn't stand it. Hillary and her 18M is the dark side of America. She took personal attacks to Obama's intelligence. The way she acted, thank God she was not nominated, two weeks after her inaguaration, we would have been in a nuclear war! Obama is a grown man and he does not need WAshington D.C. to graduate from any University. One is born with brains and Obama's HAS far outsmarted Hillary.
That showed her ignorence and racists views because she would chock before she would respect
TO HELL WITH WHITE WOMEN!
She couldn't stand it. Hillary and her 18M is the dark side of America.
I must admit, Donna-294675, makes my point much better than I can. ;)

So can anybody tell me what Obama is proposing we change to? All I here is change change change... Easy for someone to be critical about the current state of affairs but I'm looking for some depth in his ideas or should I say his sound bites. His campaign's approach seems to need time to thing about any issue for days and then make a measure stance, watch the polls, and move towards the accepted position. This is not what a leader does. A leader takes a stance and moves on it... Hey maybe that's why Obama won't do any town meetings - he can't think on his own and needs his advisers and polls to tell him what is right and wrong...sounds a lot like Bill Clinton huh?
- 2 votes
I think he means change our minds (daily). That seems to be what he does.
- 2 votes
Those above,...The Great decider did not change his mind and look where that has gotten us. I change my mind as often as things about me change. This is a time for nimble thought. The lumberjack log roll comes mind; if you want to win you must change your balance to offset your opponents game. You have to change your mind to come up with the best solution possible at this and following moments. The log is rolling we have to stay on top of it.
NO! NO! NO! - Don't do it, Sen. Clinton. Let Sen. O'Bama do it on his own. He had no regard for you during the campaign for the nomination. Now let him get the presidency on his own. I'm still a write-in for Sen. Clinton. Nothing is going to change that.
- 1 vote
Check out the web site: "Clintons4McCain or Democrats4McCain - From comments on those sites it indicates a write in for Sen Clinton will not count and could count as a vote for Obama - I don't know this for a fact but based on what the web sites say there has to be approval from the particular State to accept the write-in votes

Your pontificating is nausiating! I'm sure you do wonder how intelligent people think. Nice attempt to pass yourself off as one. Talk about brianwashing, you're using all the Rush Limbaugh style talking points - so transparent. Your metaphore about leading sheep to slaughter is interesting given that Bush did just that - literally, not metaphorically - 4,000+ Americans have lost their lives for Bush's lies.
I don't care who campaigns with him. I would never vote for that snake in the grass.
I am disappointed that Hillary does not refuse to campaign for him. I realize she is doing it out of political expediency but I KNOW that she realises that he would be the worst thing for this country ever. I wish that as a matter of principle she would say no.
I do believe that it will not make any difference. People are not going to be talked into voting for Obama with all his subversive, anti-Akmerican friends. People are more disgusted by him as time goes on. The DNC is now the Obama party and as such is not worth belonging to.
I have been a democrat all my life (61) years and this year is the first time my party has disgusted me enough to resign. I will be voting for John McCain this November.

Heath, you are no democrat. You have been exposed as GOP. Your ramblings are simply retread GOP static!
Heath,..."...anti-Akmerican..." Sounds a lot like "anti-Amerikan." A little playful fascism
for the stew?
LOL!!! Most Dem's who are in positions to be something or direct someone can't think on their feet due to their lacking abilities to tell the truth or do proper research before spouting off at the mouth. Just one of the Democratic party upper staff members was spouting off about how oil companies are making such large windfalls on profit. Oil companies make approximately 10 cents on every gallon sold, the middle man, the transportation industry, and the feds and state government make the rest. Yes, the numbers look big, but it's because more people are driving doh!!!!! We've increased our population by a whole bunch in the last 3 decades, hello! Some of the oil companies are doing R&D and developing alternative ways of energy, but you don't hear that on the news it's squashed over the cries of ill informed mongers. I totally support alternative ways of producing energy, but we will always have the carbon based fuel need. We have the acces to these areas to produce more fuel, and incorporate bigger and better ways for alternative energy, why not incorporate this into incentives to go for the gusto. We have so many companies laying off people this would give opportunity for reemployment and taxes to be paid through payroll, etc., which would do what? Give the federal debt a trickle down effect. Hello!!!! We can produce and not upset the environment and get back on track. I work in the oil industry and know first hand what's up and what's not up. So, open it up, make jobs available, let people work, get welfare rats off of welfare by demanding they go to work, train, attend colleg, or they get no assistance, or even better, make them go work the jobs the illegal migrant workers are doing, and still maintain some type of assistance.
Same for education, we should have incentives in place for big business to return some of their profits to the education system by sponsering elementary, secondary, and community colleges, providing the proper support and knowledge of how to become a productive citizen and waste your time in lives of criminal activity and dropping out because you can. It should be a law that everyone who can finish high school, and seek a trade or college education and if you do so, you can be helped to manage the costs due to corporate and federal involvement. An educated country is a successful country.
On topic, Obama has no solutions, he only has more pollution. As far as McCain goes, well, at least he won't raise my income tax, and he's more liberal on many things and willing to work as a bipartisan than many of the old guard Repubs in office.
Scorpio,.. can you cite the source for your information?
Why not just send people on welfare to work camps. Solve the problem the good old fashioned way. I grant you some people play the system at the economic bottom. But there's 1% at the top playing the system and skimming off a hell of a lot more.
Your educational ideas stand up much better. The last paragraph is your perception. That's your right. Vote as you see best.

The circus comedy that constitutes the Obama campaign. This is a scenario that has repeated itself multiple times on other issues. On terrorism - Obama is asked a straight forward question on his anticipated policies to combat terrorism; and, he responds in an equally forward manner that he would handle the issue as a police action. The McCain camp immediately exploits Obama's naive response, correctly highlighting Obama's dangerous inexperience and lack of understanding of the gravity/complexity of the issue. Obama's handlers immediately haul him into the cloak room; advise him that his response was feeble and misguided; tell him what he should have said; and, send him back into the public forum, teleprompter in hand , to read his handlers prepared text on the latest version of his position. The Main Stream Media immediately chimes-in lauding Obama for what he meant to say on the issue all-along!
Unequivocally, Obama is the equivalent of a circus clown; a stand-up comic; a circus-barker attempting to lure the mentally-challenged into the tent with promises of an epiphany; a Charley McCarthy mannequin that appears to lip-sync the commentary from his ventriloquist controllers. This man is an virtual imbecile who is totally without the capacity to speak intelligently on issues on which he has not been previously programmed by his puppet masters. P.T. Barnum was right on target when he observed: "There's a sucker born every minute." ; but, hopefully the American electorate will not be duped by such a charlatan. Greg Neubeck

So the real question is who will have their hand up his mannequin back telling him what to do if he becomes president? The answer is the group giving him the most money...oh and what is interesting now is that "Billary" are introducing him to their "friends", they will be first in line!!!
